If you are interested in taking up archery as a sport or have enjoyed one of our ‘Have a go’ experiences at a recent summer fair and would like to pursue your interest in archery, we offer an Introduction to Archery coaching session at our club several times a year.
These sessions cater for all ages (juniors from ten years old) and abilities. Any participant under fourteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian).
In this ‘taster’ session you will be tutored by our qualified coaches and experienced archers. The session is approximately 2hrs in duration and will give you the opportunity to get to know the bow, learn the basics of shooting under the supervision of your instructor and channel your inner ‘Robin Hood’.
Following this session, if you are keen to progress you will be able to sign up for our six week ‘Beginner’s Course’.
For more information please contact our coaching officer Colin Alexander on
07745 026509 (after 4pm. It is kindly requested that you do not leave a voicemail as Colin is unable to access it. Instead, if your call isn't answered - please text a message. Even as a missed call, your call will be returned as soon as Colin can. Thank you).
During the summer months, the club attends various ‘Summer Fairs’ and similar events in the area, where visitors to those events will have the opportunity to try their hand at the sport. For more details of where we will be for you to ‘Have a go’, please check our news page and facebook page for updates.
